Finally remembered to snap a picture of this sign on a bridge outside of Trenton, New Jersey. I’ve always appreciated what seemed (to me, at least) to be the slightly bitter, but mostly resigned tone it conveys you bastards don’t appreciate what we go through living in this bleak industrial landscape so you can have all your nice things, well, the hell with you anyway. (And chances are that Trenton isn’t quite the industrial powerhouse it was when the sign was put up, which makes it all the more poignant.)
Of course, I’m probably reading too much into the whole thing anyway.
