I’ll be reading and signing Prisoner of Trebekistan at Book Soup on the Sunset Strip, one of my favorite stores in the world, on Saturday, November 18th, at 5 pm.
That’s one week from this Saturday, and it’s early enough you probably won’t need to change your plans much. If your friends are as bookish as mine, you’ll probably even see a great holiday gift or two while you’re there.
It’s a cool neighborhood anyway. Afterwards, I dunno, maybe we’ll all wander over to the Viper Room and suck our cheeks in and try to look like we’re trying not to be seen, even though we chose to go to the Viper Room. We’ll blend right in. So come on by!
Incidentally, this begins the wind-up process for pimping the book in this space. Tom has been wonderfully gracious, and I appreciate it, but I don’t want this book to overstay its welcome. If there’s something big going on, I’ll mention it, but after this reading, you’ll probably need to visit my own site or Trebekistan.com to hear about signings and stuff.
Meanwhile, if you’re looking to start your holiday shopping early, may I suggest in addition to Trebekistan, which will probably please anyone over the age of thirty with a TV who can still read, you might want send some victory love to your liberal friends with a copy of Tom’s own Hell In A Handbasket, which I’ve personally given to about a half-dozen people, all of whom loved it.
And trust me — Hell is so much sweeter to look at now that its flames are already starting to cool a bit.
